DJ Sly King Crowned 2025 DJ of the Year at Guinness Ghana DJ Awards
Widely celebrated Ghanaian disc jockey DJ Sly King has officially been named DJ of the Year 2025, cementing his status as one of the nation’s most influential music talents.
The accolade was announced at the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, an annual event dedicated to recognising exceptional creativity, impact, and innovation within Ghana’s vibrant DJ scene.
DJ Sly King secured the top award after competing fiercely against some of the industry’s biggest names, including DJ Lord OTB, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Loft, AD DJ, and DJ Millzy. His impressive victory underscores his consistency, exceptional talent, and unmatched ability to stand out in a competitive arena.
Fans, fellow DJs, and entertainment personalities have praised Sly King for his electrifying performances, distinctive mixes, and unwavering dedication to advancing Ghana’s music culture. His sets—renowned for their high energy and crowd-pleasing nature—have earned him a loyal following both in Ghana and internationally.
Speaking after the event, DJ Sly King expressed heartfelt gratitude to his supporters, known as “The Unstoppable Nation”, recognising their continuous encouragement. He also dedicated the award to his late father, Seth Henry Alorgbey, and his mother, Theodora Atta Abaya, for their lifelong support.
Alongside the prestigious title, the ‘Unstoppable’ DJ also claimed two additional awards:
Male Radio DJ of the Year
Best DJ, Greater Accra Region

As part of his prize package, DJ Sly King was presented with a brand-new Pioneer DJ DDJ-Rev7 Scratch Style 2 Controller, a top-tier professional DJ equipment.
The 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards took place on 29 November 2025 at the Palms Convention Centre, attracting musicians, promoters, music executives, media outlets, and key industry stakeholders.
